Unknown Stains
Avoid using hot water at the start. Soak in cold water with detergent after pretreating the stain. Wash in cold water with detergent and then check to see if the stain is still there. If the stain is still present then wash regularly with detergent or bleach.
Mud
Wipe off as much of the mud as possible. Pretreat the stain and then wash with hottest water recommended.
Grass Stains
Grass stains can be dealt with in different ways. Depending on the severity you can either pretreat the stain and wash or you can dab a small amount of rubbing alcohol on the stain, rinse it, and then wash again.
Deodorant Stains
Pretreat like a normal stain and wash with hottest water recommended
Tar Stains
Please DO NOT place tar stained items into our machines
Gum
Rub ice on the gum and try to scrape it away from the material. Then, treat the material and wash with the hottest water recommended.
Crayons/Markers
First, try applying WD-40 to both sides of the material where the stain is present and wait for it to soak in. Then, rub dishwasher soap onto the stain and continue to rub until the stain comes out.
Blood Stain
Soak the material in cold water, pretreat the stain, and then wash. If the stain is still there try re-soaking the material and washing again.
Grease/Oil
Rub detergent directly onto the stain and then wash. If the stain is still present then dab some rubbing alcohol onto the remaining stain, rinse, and then re-wash.
Chocolate
Soak the material in cold water. Then, pretreat and wash as recommended.
Ballpoint Ink
Spray with inexpensive hairspray and flush with water.
